Experience:
Responsibilities include full function database administration, including requirement analysis, installation, maintenance, performance tuning, SQL query tuning, user support, backup and recovery planning and execution, design assistance (emphasizing application vs. database performance and SQL query tuning), and fault identification and resolution. Candidate will maintain, tune, and monitor the operating efficiency and technical integrity of the Database Management Systems in support of the corporate standards applications. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of and experience with enterprise managers (Oracle, Postgres, and SQL Server) and administration of SQL Server and MYSQL databases and should be certified in Oracle 8, 8i, and 9i. Candidate must have ability to provide wide range of technical data management assistance and must be experienced in data migration between various data sources. Migration experience from Oracle to Postgres will be an added advantage. Management skills are very important for this position, which requires coordination between and among different entities and people, and the acquisition and analysis of data reports. Candidate should have training skills to facilitate in-house user training. As Candidate may have to travel to India in connection with off-shore projects, local Indian language proficiency will be an added advantage for management of those off-shore projects.

Qualifications needed for this position:
Candidate should have an MBA and undergraduate (preferably graduate) degrees in Computer Science or Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications With a major in Mathematics. Candidate should be a certified in Oracle 8, 8i, and 9i.
